Instructions for Specific Locks
- Lever Locks (Schlage Brand): When re-keying a lever lock, ensure you rotate the black cylinder using tool 1 following the instructions. This prevents the pins in the lock from falling out during re-keying. - Pin Style Locks (Schlage “C” 5-Pin Style and “F” Series Lever Lock):
For Schlage "F" series lever locks, push the cylinder using tool 2 approximately 9/16 inches into the lever cylinder to extract the cylinder successfully.
